2023 Program Descriptions

Junior Nordic Programing

Adventure XC

Open to all 5+ year old’s. 2 days per week, Tue/Thu. Learn to ski, explore, play games, and have fun! Progression for Devo Race program if interested as well as high schoolers looking for instruction and winter fitness. Tuesday’s will be Skate with Thursday’s being Classic technique. For many of the kids, particularly the younger ones, we can use the same skis as opposed to having a separate pair of skate and classic skis. Scholarships are available to help offset costs on a case-by-case basis. We are trying out a new tiered fee structure for the Adventure XC program. 3 fee options for you to choose from:

  • $355 – same as last year
  • $500 – true cost of programming
  • $600 – true costs + investment for development

Programming begins with dryland training at Ponderosa State Park November 1st.

We transition to skiing once grooming begins at our local Nordic centers.

Devo Race

Open to U14 athletes (ages 11-13) who have interest in traveling to divisional races. 3-4 days per week of coach facilitated training in skate and classic technique. $500.

Comp Race

Open to U16+ athletes who will be traveling to divisional races. 5-6 days/week of coach facilitated training in skate and classic technique. $600.

Masters (Adult) Nordic Programming

Conditioning and prep for the McCall Remastered or other races at the end of January or into February. Training includes course management, pacing, technique, and aerobic/anaerobic conditioning. While a technique tip will be highlighted in each session, these are not meant as an in-depth or thorough examination of technique and instruction. Sessions will be optimized for individuals who have some skate and/or classic skiing experience but may not subscribe to a current coaching/training plan.
Training runs 8 weeks, beginning the week of January 2nd.

CLASSIC Technique: Mondays, 3:45 – 5:15pm, $180
